Knowledge AUTONOMY World Mobility Expo in Paris 28 March 2023 Cycling News On the 22nd until the 23rd of March, the AUTONOMY Mobility World Expo event took place at the Portes des Versailles in Paris. The Dutch Cycling Embassy participated in a mission supported by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Netherlands Embassy in France, joining a large pavilion along with 11 of our public-private partners. Together with our participants Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), Mobycon, Abel Sensors, bike.box, MOBIAN, MobilityLabel, TILER, Van Raam, Swapfiets, BYCS, and SURE Mobility, we were present at the stand displaying products and services and networking over two days. Many enthusiastic conversations were held, and interesting connections made while discussing potential cooperation and sharing new ideas. We also curated a number of side events, which included a keynote by Marketing Manager Chris Bruntlett on the bike-train combination, a panel discussion on inclusivity and cycling featuring Mobycon’s Brett Petzer and Van Raam’s Jory Skepping led by Project Manager Margot Daris, and a workshop featuring MobilityLabel’s Max Mooij on the design of bike parking at train stations. It was encouraging to see the turnout of both businesses interested in collaboration with the DCE and our partners. The bicycle truly has a bright future in Paris (and beyond).
