Knowledge Quarterly Participant Meeting Q3 7 October 2024 General On Thursday the 3rd of October, we hosted our quarterly network meeting in conjunction with Dutch Cycling Week. Participants were welcomed at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht where the morning meeting would be followed by the Cycle Mobility Summit. After a nice breakfast, Nicole Lolkema and Skadi Tirpak (DCE) opened the meeting and spoke about our plans leading into 2025. Ruben Loendersloot also gave an update on behalf of the board. The ThinkBike Workshop Legacy – US and Canada Report, written by Jake Boeri, was presented. It gives key insight into ThinkBike workshops, partner relationships and how these can be used impactfully. Laurens Hitman (SportUtrecht) and Hans Voerknecht (Een Nieuwe Kijk) introduced their work around BMXing and accessibility shortages, respectively. Both presentations highlighted the impact cycling can have at the community level. The DCE project team gave updates on projects in Sweden, Mozambique, Germany and Switzerland. Further, we welcomed four new members to the DCE Network: HAN_University of Applied Sciences, SWOV, TACQ and november:city. We are looking forward to collaborating! The rest of the day consisted of a varied program at the Cycle Mobility Summit looking at the future of cycling as a mobility solution. This was then rounded off by a networking borrel.
