Dutch Cycling Embassy at Intertraffic Amsterdam

18 April 2024

From April 16th to 18th, 2024, the Dutch Cycling Embassy attended the Intertraffic expo at the RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands. With over 800 exhibitors across 13 halls, the annual three-day event attracts over 30,000 professionals in the infrastructure, traffic management, safety, smart mobility and parking industries.

International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett was asked to curate two different sessions as part of the event program using experts from the DCE’s public-private network. The first was entitled “The Golden Bike-Train Combination as an Attractive Alternative to the Car”, and featured contributions from Marise Bezema of NS, Simone Jorink of Movares, and Roland Kager of Studio Bereikbaar. The second was entitled “Integrating Bicycle Infrastructure in Strategies to Reduce Car Use”, and featured contributions from Paul van der Coevering of Breda University of Applied Sciences, Teije Gorris of GO-bility, and Jeska de Ruiter of Royal HaskoningDHV.

We’d like to thank the six experts for providing their perspectives, the many attendees who joined the sessions, and the organizers of Intertraffic for giving us this stage.
