Quarterly participant meeting Q4

12 December 2022

Last week we hosted a well-attended participant meeting of the public-private network of the Dutch Cycling Embassy in Amsterdam. David Gelauff of the City of Amsterdam was the host this time and together with colleague Pepijn Verpaalen he shared how the city is shaping its cycling policy and how it deals with cycling stress and cycling happiness. Ernest van den Bemd and Gjilke Keuning inspired attendees about the exciting relationship between cycling and health and what regular bicycle use does to your well-being. Lisa Haenitsch-Saxe and Edu Willemse showed what supportive role can be offered by the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO). There were also three sparkling pitches from new participants: Aad Kalkman of MIJKSENAAR, Marnix Kwant of Van Raam and Ana Castan of Bicycle User Experience (BUX). In addition, we looked back on the highlights of last fall with, among others, Lennart Nout of Mobycon who shared his experiences at the COP27 climate conference and once again highlighted the Transport Decarbonization Alliance’s Call to Action. And there was much more … with, of course, a conclusion of the day with drinks and socialising, where all attendees were able to network with each other! We enjoyed connecting again with all those passionate people and organizations! Together we make the world a little better!
