Knowledge Fact-Finding Mission to Southern and Western China 7 April 2026 Cycling News Following a series of exchanges on both Dutch and Chinese soil in the past twelve months, the Dutch Cycling Embassy continues to build a platform for Dutch-Sino cooperation on active mobility in partnership with the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Netherlands Enterprise Agency. Our latest step: a fact-finding mission across southern and western China, made possible through the enthusiastic support of the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou and NBSO China. Through a series of meetings, seminars, and site visits in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, and Chengdu, International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett and local partner Bram van Ooijen connected with wide range of local stakeholders, including government officials and private companies. Across the board, there was a genuine curiosity about Dutch best practices, and, more importantly, how they might be thoughtfully adapted to the Chinese context. We are excited to see where this momentum leads next!
