Monique Hamsen

With a background in international management consultancy & training for SMEs and government, Monique has been able to experience a lot of different urban environments around the globe. Partly inspired by those experiences, her latest passion is to create liveable, sustainable and smart cities with LUMIGUIDE, a company that provides intelligent parking management for bicycles. LUMIGUIDE developed and implemented the world’s first camera-based bicycle detection system, and the world’s first Bicycle Route Information System, guiding cyclists to available parking spaces with digital signs and offering valuable data insights on bicycle parking practices. Monique regularly contributes to incoming (DCE visits), webinars and conferences as a speaker, moderator or panel member. She loves sharing her experience and knowledge about the link between technology and bicycle parking in the broadest sense. As a member of the Cycling Industries Europe’s Cycling Innovation Network, she is up to speed with all the latest developments and is actively contributing to spreading the word on smart bicycle parking.
