Knowledge Utrecht Study Visit from Mölndal, Sweden 18 September 2025 Cycling News On the morning of September 17th, 2025, the Dutch Cycling Embassy hosted a small delegation of civil servants from the Municipality of Mölndal, Sweden. This half-day session was part of a larger study visit of the Netherlands organized by DCE network participant Movares focused on bike-train intermodality. To kick off proceedings, a cycling tour of Utrecht was led by International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett, who guided the group around Centraal station’s bike parking facility, the Catherijnesingel, and the world’s busiest cycling lane along the Vredenburg. Following the tour, the group visited the DCE office, where Chris provided an overview of bike-train intermodality in the Netherlands, its quantitative and qualitative benefits, and specific examples of global cities attempting to transfer these policies and ideas to their context. It was a pleasure to host the group and to engage in their questions.
