Knowledge Public Space Congress & Forum 2024 in Antwerp 25 April 2024 Cycling News Taking place on Wednesday, April 24th, the Congres & Forum Publieke Ruimte 2024 (“Public Space Congress & Forum 2024”) brought together over 600 urban planning professionals under the theme “Kies voor voetgangers” (“Opt for Pedestrians”) in Antwerp’s Elizabeth Hall. The program had a distinctly Dutch flavour, including a plenary session from Dutch Cycling Embassy’s Chris Bruntlett and Royal HaskoningDHV’s Melissa Bruntlett. The summit also included contributions from Gemeente Utrecht’s Birgit Cannegieter and Goudappel’s Dennis van Sluijs. The program concluded with a bicycle tour of Antwerp, organized by the Municipality and intended to highlight the various policies they were developing to improve the quality of public space in the city.
