Knowledge LGA/ADPH Annual Public Health Conference 28 March 2022 Cycling News DCE answers “Why are Dutch Kids Happiest in the World?” at UK LGA/ADPH Public Health Conference. On March 24th, 2022, the Dutch Cycling Embassy’s Chris Bruntlett partcipated (virtually) in the two-day Annual Public Health Conference, a collaborative effort between Local Government Association (LGA) and The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) in the United Kingdom. The keynote was entitled “Why are Dutch Kids the Happiest in the World?”, during which Chris offered insights into best practice in Netherlands, including network planning, traffic calming, intersection design, and safety education. Following presentations from National Active Travel Commissioner Chris Boardman and Cycling UK Chair Janet Atherton, the entire panel participated in a Q&A with the 200-strong audience moderated by Solihull Councillor Rosemary Sexton.
