Knowledge Guest Lecture at University of Cincinnati 10 October 2024 Cycling News On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, Dutch Cycling Embassy International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett gave a (virtual) guest lecture for students at the University of Cincinnati’s School of Planning. The hour-long session for Professor David Edelman’s “Introduction to Urban Planning/Urban Studies” course covered the historical and cultural context of Dutch cycling culture, the principles behind infrastructure and network design, the many benefits that result from the high levels of cycling seen in the Netherlands, and the transferability of these best practices to cities across the United States. It was concluded with 15-minutes of Q&A with the students.
