Knowledge Federal Highway Administration in Rotterdam 4 March 2024 Cycling News On Thursday, February 29th, 2024, high-level representatives from the United States’ Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) visited Rotterdam as part of a larger study visit organized by Rijkswaterstaat on the topics of electric charging, active mobility, and resilient and climate adaptive infrastructure. The delegation included Associate Administrator for Highway Policy and External Affairs Keith Benjamin and Transportation Specialist for the Office of International Programs Jihan Noizet. Dutch Cycling Embassy network participant Maurits Lopes Cardozo of Bike-minded Design Consulting led a cycling tour of Rotterdam, followed by a presentation and discussion led by International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett in Rijkswaterstaat’s Rotterdam offices. We look forward to continuing this cooperation with the U.S. Department of Transportation with a FHWA-funded workshop in Southeast Florida later this year.
