Knowledge Exploring Cycling in Utrecht with the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico 25 September 2025 Cycling News We were delighted to welcome Daniela Nuñez Zurita, Public Diplomacy, Communications, and Academic Relations Officer at the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico, to Utrecht this week. Together with our director, Skadi Tirpak, she experienced some of the highlights of Dutch cycling culture firsthand. The visit started at Utrecht Central Station with a tour of the world’s largest bike parking facility, a hub that showcases how cycling can be seamlessly integrated into daily travel. From there, Daniela picked up an OV-fiets and joined Skadi on a ride through the city, making their way to the colourful Regenboogfietspad (Rainbow Cycle Path) at Utrecht University. Her visit was not only a chance to capture these iconic cycling spots but also to strengthen the growing ties between the Netherlands and Mexico around sustainable mobility and urban development.
