Dutch Cycling Event at The Netherlands Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai World Expo

Building on the Netherlands Pavilion theme of “Common Ground”, on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025, the Dutch Cycling Embassy co-hosted a special day of cycling-themed activities at the Osaka World Expo. Joined by Netherlands Vice-Minister of Infrastructure Afke van Rijn, as well as a number of Japanese counterparts from various levels of government, through a series of conversations we celebrated two leading cycling nations and explored areas of learning and collaboration. The evening was concluded with a panel discussion and screening of the documentary “Together We Cycle”, which was shown for the first time with translated Japanese subtitles.
