Knowledge Dutch-Canadian Active Transport Webinar 29 June 2021 Cycling News DCE teams up with Netherlands Consulate General in Toronto to bring cycling expertise to Southern Ontario. In conjunction with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Toronto, Goudappel, and Bicycle Mayor of Waterloo—the Dutch Cycling Embassy presented a webinar on Tuesday, June 29th. Experts from the Netherlands shared their knowledge and experience with an engaged audience of politicians, planners, policy makers, and advocates from cities across Southern Ontario. The session, entitled “Planning & Designing for Active Transportation: A Dutch-Canadian Webinar”, included contributions from Goudappel’s Thomas Straatmeier and Richard ter Avest, and included design cases from three Canadian cities. The webinar was introduced by Netherlands Consul General Anne Le Guellec.
