AUTONOMY Mobility World Expo 2024 in Paris

On the 20th and 21st of March, 2024, the AUTONOMY Mobility World Expo event took place at the Portes des Versailles in Paris. The Dutch Cycling Embassy participated in a mission supported by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Netherlands Embassy in France, joining a large pavilion along with seven of our public-private partners. Together with our participants Abel Sensors, Cargo Cycling, Gemeente Amsterdam, iMoto, MOBIAN, Moby Bikes, and Van Raam, we were present at the stand displaying products and services and networking over two days. Many enthusiastic conversations were held, and interesting connections made while discussing potential cooperation and sharing new ideas.

The DCE also curated a panel discussion on sustainable mobility and sporting events, led by Project Coordinator Emma Stubbe and featuring Roy Hirs of the Dutch Grand Prix, Thierry du Crest of the French Ministry for Transport, and Marnix Kwant of Van Raam. Following this discussion, we hosted the world premiere of the short film “Car-Free Grand Prix: How the Dutch Bike to Track”. It was encouraging to see the turnout of both businesses interested in collaboration with the DCE and our partners. The bicycle truly has a bright future in Paris (and beyond).
