Knowledge Ankara University explores Dutch cycling culture in Utrecht 21 July 2025 Cycling News On 21th of July, the Dutch Cycling Embassy had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Ankara University, Turkey. As part of their Erasmus+ project titled “Grassroots Bicycle Movement”, the group travelled to Utrecht to exchange knowledge and explore strategies for promoting grassroots cycling across communities. Hosted by Shelley Bontje (Dutch Cycling Embassy) and network partner Ruxandra Aelenei (R.A. Planning), the visit featured a dynamic Q&A session packed with thoughtful questions. The discussion revolved around cultivating a friendly cycling culture, embedding cycling into everyday routines, and encouraging cycling among children and students. We thank the Ankara University delegation for their visit and look forward to what’s next.
