Tania Roel Castro

With 10 years of experience in mobilityand public space design, Tania is a traffic design professional who is passionate about creating cities that are safe, accessible, and attractive for everyone. Originally from Spain, she brings an additional international perspective to projects, enriching the way she approaches mobility, urban design, and the use of public space.

Her work is guided by questions such as how people can move within and beyond the city in a safe and efficient way, how cities can be designed to remain attractive and inclusive, and how public space can help address the challenges of climate change. She has a particular interest in active mobility and in designing environments that support walking and cycling as natural parts of everyday urban life.

At Goudappel, a mobility and public space consultancy based in the Netherlands, Tania works on a variety of projects in multidisciplinary teams. In these projects, she translates input from different experts into appropriate and well-balanced design solutions. She is especially motivated by the challenge of connecting complex information and developing creative, safe, and effective traffic and mobility solutions that contribute to better public space for everyone.
