Cycling Experts Ruxandra Aelenei Ruxandra is a versatile and forward-thinking mobility consultant and lecturer, interested in and fascinated by the complexity of cities as ever evolving systems. In her work, she aims at finding a good balance between accessibility and liveability and she firmly believes that a transition to a sustainable urban mobility system is not only possible, but also needed. She has worked on numerous mobility and cycling projects in the Netherlands, Romania, Iceland, Georgia, Italy, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, South Africa, Mozambique, Uganda, Iraq and the Palestinian Territories, and throughout each project, her focus has been on promoting active mobility, sustainability and equity. She has extensive experience in consulting and teaching in the field of mobility and she is fascinated by the role the bicycle plays in the transition to more people, nature and climate-friendly cities. She is dedicated to promoting cycling as an attractive and inclusive mode of transportation around the world. She has worked as a (strategic) consultant at Utrecht Municipality and at various consultancy offices and besides from running her small company, she is now also a lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, at the department of Built Environment.
