Cycling Experts Dries Dederen Dries Dederen founded BIKEBAZE after experiencing bicycle theft multiple times himself, an issue he grew completely fed up with. Having a background in data and technology, he realised how little real insight existed into the causes, patterns, and impact of bicycle theft. Instead of accepting that lack of understanding, Dries decided to change it. He conducted a deep dive into the bicycle theft industry, analysing data gaps and behavioural patterns, and built BIKEBAZE as a response: a data-driven, community-powered platform that combines registration, prevention, and awareness. Today, Dries focuses on using data insights to help insurers, leasing companies, municipalities, and enforcement agencies better understand and combat bicycle theft. His mission is simple: make cycling safer through collaboration, and technology.
