Südtirol study visit

On 15th and 16th June 2023, a group from Bolzano, South Tyrol, came on a study visit to the Netherlands.

The group visited Nijmegen, Utrecht and Delft. Over the course of a day and a half they covered topics as varied as urban-rural connections, bike parking, infrastructure design and car management. They were able to experience the implementation and outcomes of all of these topics with a cycling tour of the MaasWaalpad (the cycling route between Nijmegen and Cuijk), a cycling tour of Delft and its surrounding area, and a walking tour of key infrastructure in the city centre of Utrecht.

DCE network experts who led the study visit included Sjors van Duren of Royal HaskoningDHV, Ruben Loendersloot of Loendersloot International, and Stephen Kurz and Anna Tailliez of Mobycon.

The group of visitors consisted of representatives of various departments and levels of the organisation Südtiroler Transportstrukturen AG as well as the local Office for Infrastructures and Sustainable Mobility and the Office for Road Construction.
