Knowledge Public Policy Exchange: Boosting Cycling in the UK 20 November 2025 Cycling News On Thursday, November 20th, 2025, Dutch Cycling Embassy International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett participated (virtually) in the one-day event “Boosting Cycling in the UK: Designing Comprehensive Strategies to Promote Cycling Take-Up Across Society” hosted by the London-based Public Policy Exchange. The keynote was entitled “The Dutch Blueprint for Inclusive Design and Urban Vitality”, during which Chris offered insights into how cities across the Netherlands create a public realm that is accessible to every resident—including women, children, seniors, and those with disabilities or lower incomes. The keynote was followed by a Q&A with the many participants, which included Emily Cherry of Bikeability Trust, Mariam Draaijer of Joyriders, and Rachel Nunn of Cycle Stirling.
