Knowledge Palm Beach MPO Webinar: The Dutch Cycling Transformation 20 November 2025 Cycling News On Thursday, November 20th, 2025, the Dutch Cycling Embassy joined the Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for a webinar entitled “The Dutch Cycling Transformation: Infrastructure and Communication Strategies”. In a public event prior to a planned ThinkBike Workshop in January 2026, International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett shared how the Netherlands transitioned from car-centric to cycle-friendly communities—highlighting key infrastructure changes, challenges, and long-term benefits including health, economic impact, and quality of life. Joining him was Melissa Bruntlett, founder of Modacity Creative, who explored how effective communication strategies have helped Dutch and international communities build public support for active transportation initiatives. During a following Q&A session, they discussed opportunities for implementing these solutions in Southeast Florida, not by copying-and-pasting, but by context-specific adaptations according to local geographical, societal, and cultural conditions.
