Cycling Experts Mirjam Borsboom Mirjam Borsboom is a strategic advisor for cycling infrastructure, currently coordinating cycling infrastructure development at the Municipality of Rotterdam. She is a civil and traffic engineer with over 12 years of experience in sustainable transport and urban mobility. Before joining Rotterdam, Mirjam worked at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, where she led international cycling strategies and coordinated the global ACTIVE Program on behalf of the Netherlands. In 2013, she founded Movida Transport Solutions and served as director of the Dutch Cycling Embassy from 2014 to 2018, promoting cycling worldwide as an accessible and everyday mode of transport. Passionate about creating cities for people, Mirjam combines technical expertise with a strategic vision for change — sharing lessons from Dutch cycling policy and practice at international conferences to inspire more inclusive, safe, and cycling-friendly cities globally.
