Carolina Ramos

Carolina holds a bachelor in Civil and Environmental Engineering, from Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia. She also holds a Master in Transport Systems focus on Public Transport from the same university and a double Master degree in Urban Planning and Environment from Radboud University in the Netherlands and Cardiff University. She has 10 years of experience in transportation planning and sustainable development, with a focus on community engagement and stakeholder management for various mobility projects. Her passion is urban mobility with a focus on cycling and public transport, modes that she believes can support the development of the city and the society as a whole. She has extensive experience in developing economies and has also participated in various intricate stakeholder participation processes for cycling and public transport projects. Recently she has participated in the implementation of inclusive strategies for urban mobility that take into account social and cultural aspects, as well as gender, age and disabilities. Carolina has worked in cities and towns of various sizes, beliefs and cultures, from metropolises such as Bogotá or Mexico City to European Cities, Ascension countries and other countries such as Argentina, Kurdistan Region, Palestine, Uganda, Mozambique, Sao Tomé e Principe and others.
