5 November 2020

In 2012 a cycling strategy (so called “Masterplan Velo”) was defined. The cycling strategy encompasses three main goals and different measures in six fields of action (for more information visit https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/velo). The progress of the implementation and the impacts of the masterplan were analysed in 2017. This study showed that the primary goals of the masterplan are still suitable. Nevertheless, the impact and implementation analysis revealed a need for adapting and complementing the fields of action resp. measures. The city approached the Dutch Cycling Embassy to review the adapted strategy (80%-version). Ruben Loendersloot from Loendersloot Group was chosen by the client for this assignment.
