University of Kassel visits the Netherlands

5 June 2023

On 2nd June 2023, Master’s students with the Radverkehr und Nahmobilität (Cycling and Local Mobility) research group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, part of the Institute of Transportation at the University of Kassel, Germany, visited Amsterdam with the DCE.

DCE Project Coordinator Emma Stubbe held a presentation on the development of Dutch Cycling and its core principles, facilitated a discussion, and organised an interactive activity with the students in the city.

The students were very interested and engaged, and asked excellent questions.

David Gelauff, Senior Programme manager at the Traffic & Public Space Directorate of the Municipality of Amsterdam, kindly helped to answer these questions, for which the DCE would like to thank him.

The DCE looks forward to continued collaboration and close partnership with the University of Kassel, and to hosting further groups of their students.
