Round Table

Known as the “Polder Model”, the Netherlands has a long tradition of developing and implementing policies in consultation with all parties and stakeholders involved. This process also pertains to implementing bike policies, providing guidance on implementing design manuals in co-production with relevant stakeholders and NGOs, or setting up information centers. For this purpose, the DCE has developed a Round Table session. During this session, pertinent stakeholders of cities and regions will get expert advice and guidance on how to structurally involve the community and advocates in implementing bike policies.

Master Class

The DCE can organize a master class for professionals focusing on urban mobility and bike accessibility. A customized program can be made to address your speciifc needs. The main goal of the master class is to share knowledge, with an emphasis on a combination of scientific and practical knowledge. Historical background is provided on the development of the Dutch bike culture, policies, and infrastructure. In addition, we take a look at the current Dutch situation and the challenges we are faced with now. During the master class, the theory will be translated into practice based on case scenarios provided by the participating group. Master classes can be given both in the Netherlands and abroad.
