Degrees Planning the Cycling City This course follows a converted classroom approach in which Amsterdam is both a storyboard and a lab. As the world’s cycling capital, Amsterdam offers a premier environment for engaging with all of this. Experience and experiential learning are critical components of the course. Students are encouraged to independently explore and examine the city through the learning material’s lens, get inspiration, struggle with concepts, or “translate lessons” to their local context. Planning the Cycling City MSc Transport & Planning How can we solve congestion? How can we make transport more reliable? How do we reduce the environmental impact of transport and logistics? How do we improve traffic and transportation safety? How do we deal with the transportation impacts of climate change? How do we make responsible use of novel development in technology to deal with these issues? These are just examples of questions that the Transport & Planning Department at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences is looking into at Delft University of Technology. By performing top scientific research and educating world-class transportation engineers, we aim to contribute to creating an efficient, sustainable and resilient transportation system. MSc Transport & planning MSc Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics They know how to design new road, rail, air and water transportation services for passengers and/or freight; efficiently manage transportation networks, and design and control complex supply chains. These skills are invaluable for designing, developing, and maintaining cost-effective, efficient systems for moving passengers and freight. TIL graduates can make appropriate decisions for clients, employers, and society because they understand the complex decision-making processes during infrastructure development and planning. University Master’s degree of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Delft University of Technology. MSc Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics MSc Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences The MSc Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences programme at TU Delft is underpinned by the renowned Dutch experience in architecture, spatial planning and the built environment professions. It has an international orientation drawing on the multinational faculty of staff and students. The teaching approach borrows from the Dutch tradition of working in a multi-disciplinary way with students working in groups to create integrated solutions for the built environment. MSc Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences MSc Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics Why do some cities and others not grow and flourish at all? How can we get motorists to go to work outside of traffic jams? Why are countries joining the Kyoto – or Sofia Protocol? Why are real estate prices so volatile in many countries? In the Master Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics at VU Amsterdam, they cover these issues related to urban, transport, environmental and real estate economics. MSc Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics MSc Operation Management and Logistics (Track: Analytics for Transport and Mobility) Transport and mobility are critical parts of any modern economy and are some of the most important human activities worldwide. Today, our society and economy are facing an increasing transport demand for both people and goods. With the increased availability of rich datasets and artificial intelligence, the management of these flows is creating fresh challenges that require new planning, organisation and operation strategies in the area of transportation.
