Landelijk Fietsplatform

Fietsplatform (Dutch Cycling Platform) is the national coordination centre for cycle tourism, founded in 1987 and supported by national and regional authorities. Their mission is to make the Netherlands the top tourist cycling destination globally, by removing barriers, sharing knowledge, and promoting safe and enjoyable cycling experiences. Fietsplatform manages, maintains, improves, develops and promotes the Dutch long-distance cycle routes as a basis for cycle holidays and weekend trips. Regarding the complementary regional route networks (junction networks) they monitor the quality and uniformity.

Fietsplatform regularly hosts knowledge sessions on the Dutch bicycle route structure for foreign bicycle experts.
