Participants Gemeente Haarlem Haarlem, a city of 165.000 inhabitants with an old history, just between Amsterdam and the coast, wants to be an attractive, healthy and accessible city. Building 10,000 more houses without building more roads, more car parking lots and without generating more car traffic is a huge challenge. To do this, we need a mobility transition. Although most inhabitants already use their bicycle to get around, we have an ambitious program to improve cycling infrastructure: to add ‘doorfietsroutes’ to our bicycle network and to increase the number of cyclists.
