CROW

CROW is an organisation that develops guidelines, design principles and standards for infrastructure and mobility in the Netherlands. The organisation is a not-for-profit organization in which the government and businesses work together in pursuit of their common interests through the design, construction and management of roads and other traffic and transport facilities. The organisation is author of leading publications in traffic engineering that can be found on the desk of traffic engineers at every municipality in the Netherlands. Subsequently, these guidelines have been one of the main contributors to the design of the Dutch (cycling friendly) road infrastructure.

Most of our publications are in Dutch yet some of our publications, among which the very popular Design manual for bicycle traffic, are translated in English. The translated publications can be found at our international webshop through this link.
