ARTGINEERING

Artgineering is an office for research and design at the border between urban planning and mobility, based in Rotterdam and Brussels. The office devices and implements strategies for complex urban conditions, with attention to the role of infrastructure and particularly bicycle facilities. Starting with precise observations of the existing territorial realities, the office investigates the spatial, social and cultural production of space, whilst also addressing the communication and anchoring of designs through innovative participatory processes: a holistic approach in which creativity and technology come together, art-gineering.

Artgineering is particularly interested in cycling as a means to improve the urban environment as a whole: the good old bike as a catalyst for spatial, economical and social development.
