Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum

15 January 2024

On Friday, January 12th, 2024, Dutch Cycling Embassy International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett participated (virtually) in the one-day event “Next steps for transport decarbonisation in London” hosted by the Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum. The session was entitled “Future-proofing London’s transport network – innovation in transport technology, charging infrastructure and energy production and storage, planning and zoning, flexible working, and encouraging behavioural change”, during which Chris offered insights into the importance of designing for a variety of users–including those without the physical or financial means to drive a car. His talk was followed by a Q&A with the many participants, which included Emma Andrews of Burges Salmon, Eleanor Marshall, of Innovate UK KTN, Katharina Winbeck, of London Councils, and Melinda Matyas of WSP.
