Knowledge University of Wisconsin – Platteville study visit 1 June 2023 Cycling News On 30th May 2023, a group of students from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville visited The Hague with Rinse Gorter, Policy Advisor on Mobility at the municipality of The Hague, Robin Los, Senior Traffic Engineer at the municipality of The Hague, and the director of the Dutch Cycling Embassy, Lucas Harms. The students listened to a range of presentations. Lucas introduced the students to Dutch cycling and urban mobility in the Netherlands, while Rinse spoke about and answered questions on cycling policy in The Hague. Robin finished with a presentation and Q&A on smart mobility in The Hague. The group then visited The Hague’s traffic control room, which was followed by a cycling tour of the city. On the tour, students were able to experience the cycling infrastructure first-hand, and get insight into the planning and development of various local projects.
