Safe Routes to School Workshop at CIVINET Forum, Athens

From May 28th to 30th, 2024, the 2nd CIVINET Forum took place in Athens, gathering over 200 decision makers from municipalities across Greece. As part of the official program, Dutch Cycling Embassy International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett worked in cooperation with Moniek Jansen from network participant Mobycon to moderate a “Safe Routes to School” workshop. Featuring a case study from nearby Piraeus, attendees were introduced to the principles of planning safe routes to school, and then carefully applied them to this specific context during a breakout sessions. They walked away from the class with new knowledge and enthusiasm for the topic. We’d like to thank the CIVINET organizing committee for offering this platform to share our knowledge.
