21 November 2022

On Thursday, November 17th, 2022, the Dutch Cycling Embassy virtually joined a luncheon at the residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Switzerland and Liechtenstein in Bern.

Hosted by Ambassador Hedda Samson, the purpose of the networking lunch was to bring together participants of a recent Swiss study visit to Amsterdam to evaluate the activity, reflect on mutual lessons learnt, and foster connections as well as opportunities for future collaboration.

To open the discussion, Chris Bruntlett and Emma Stubbe of the DCE presented recent, upcoming, and potential DCE activities in and with Switzerland.

Participants included the director and various staff members of the Conference of Cantonal Engineers; vice-directors and managers of the Federal Roads Office; Robert Möhring, Advisor Mobility Traffic and Transport Municipality of Delft; the Honorary Consul of Zurich, Mr. Koos Vink; and Anita van Rozen, Senior policy officer for entrepreneurship, innovation & sustainability at the Embassy.

The DCE greatly looks forward to cooperating more closely with Swiss partners in the coming years.
