Knowledge Ministerial visit from Ireland 27 March 2023 Cycling News On 18th March 2023, a Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications of the Republic of Ireland, Ossian Smyth, joined the DCE for a short and informative study visit of The Hague, led by the Managing Director of the DCE, Lucas Harms. The Minister, accompanied by key colleagues, first received a presentation on Dutch Cycling best practice. Then, the group was joined by Irish residents of The Hague, and cycled to the city hall of The Hague to enjoy an exhibition on Ireland, covering its history, culture and geography. From there, Lucas gave the group a tour of best practice examples of Dutch Cycling infrastructure in The Hague, as well as an example of a recreational cycling route through Westduinpark, one of the largest natural reserves around The Hague.
