Knowledge Infrastructure Choices in Brussels 8 April 2021 Cycling News On request from the Regional Government of Brussels, Goudappel Coffeng‘s Rico Andriese gave a presentation. During this event, the Regional Government of Brussels presented a study about “a pedagogical guideline to clarify infrastructure choices for cyclists to a broad public and road authorities”. In his presentation, Rico discussed cycle experience for different types of cyclists and separating and merging different modes of traffic. Especially the notion that different types of cyclists have different wishes for services and attractiveness was highly appreciated. Since the covid-crisis, Brussels has undergone a major change in the benefit of the cyclist. In this context, Dutch knowledge about merging and separating modes of traffic comes in very useful.
