Dutch Cycling Embassy Sponsorship for Velo-city 2025 

The Velo-city Conference draws over 1.600 advocates, cities, decision- and policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders from over 60+ countries. As the annual flagship event of the European Cyclists’ Federation, Velo-city plays a vital role in promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transport for all.   

While it is known as the world cycling summit, rising travel and entrance ticket costs have made it increasingly difficult for public-interest organizations -especially those in lower-income countries- to attend. To address this imbalance, the Dutch Cycling Embassy has, on behalf of its network, launched a sponsorship program to support the participation of a public-interest organization from a country classified as an economy in transition and/or a developing economy.* We aim to make Velo-city more accessible, particularly for young people, LGBTQ+ individuals, Indigenous communities, and people of color, persons with disabilities, and others who belong to marginalized groups.
