Knowledge ‘De Fietsteller’ Presented to the DCE 8 September 2021 Cycling News Cycledata’s Deodaat Boer presents the DCE’s Lucas Harms with ‘De Fietsteller’ (‘Bicycle Counter’) in Lisbon. On September 8th, during the Velo-city 2021 Conference in Lisbon, Cycledata’s Deodaat Boer handed over ‘De Fietsteller’ (‘The Bicycle Counter’) to Dutch Cycling Embassy Director Lucas Harms. This award represents the excellent relationship Cycledata has with Dutch Cycling Embassy, and their common goal to promote cycling worldwide. The device itself was historically used for the manual counting of cycle path users in cities across the Netherlands. But nowadays, more advanced techniques—such as the Signam—make it possible to count quickly and accurately.
