Knowledge CyclingWorld Europe in Düsseldorf 13 March 2023 Cycling News From the 10th until the 12th of March, the CyclingWorld Europe event took place at the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf. In recent years, this trade show has increasingly become the “place to be” for Europe’s bicycle and e-bike industry. The Dutch Cycling Embassy participated with a stand featuring some of our partners. Together with our participants Bike.box, Mobian, Street-Stuff!, Van Raam, and Yeply we were present at the stand displaying products and networking over three days. Enthusiastic conversations were held, and interesting connections made while discussing potential cooperation and sharing new ideas. On the 11th of March, we also participated in the Cycling Europe matchmaking event, which included a keynote presentation by Marketing Manager Chris Bruntlett on the benefits of building a low-car city, and then a mini-workshop that included a session from Dutch Bicycle Parking Academy founder Ton Kooymans. The day-long side-event was generously supported by the Netherlands Consulate in Düsseldorf and included an introduction from Consul General Peter Schuurman. It was encouraging to see the turnout of both businesses interested in collaboration with the DCE and our partners, as well as the general public inquiring about the many services and products that are offered by the DCE’s connections.
