Better Bike Social in Hackney, London

On Thursday, February 1st, 2024, Dutch Cycling Embassy International Relations Manager Chris Bruntlett participated in the Better Bike Social, a series of events organized in the London Borough of Hackney by local architecture firm Morris+Company. That evening, four keynote presentations took place at a shopfront location below the firm’s offices, which was filled with nearly 100 attendees. In addition to Chris’ talk, they included London Cycling Campaign’s Simon Munk, Hackney Cycling Campaign’s Gareth ap Garth, and ZCD Architect’s Dinah Bornat. We had some great conversations with local politicians and civil servants, and look forward to potentially introducing best practices from the Netherlands through future workshops and study visits to boroughs across London.
