DCE hosts two-hour workshop for portfolio managers working in mobility at the KfW Development Bank.

On Tuesday, May 11th, the Dutch Cycling Embassy's Lucas Harms and Chris Bruntlett co-hosted a two-hour workshop for portfolio managers working on mobility projects at the KfW Development Bank. Under the title "Shift: Shifting Traffic to Non-Motorized Modes of Transport", they discussed why cities should invest in improving cycling conditions, and how to improve the cycling conditions--with examples from around the world. The second half of the workshop focused on more technical aspects of Dutch street design, including the five principles of network design, intersection design, and systematic safety. The session was concluded with an interesting and informative Q&A session.
