Shane Gubbins

Shane is an experienced civil engineer and projectmanager with Arup. To date, Shane’s career has primarily focussed on the design and delivery of active travel infrastructure schemes, but he also has experience in developing masterplans, writing design guidelines and standards, as well as managing the delivery of cycling schemes through construction.

Shane has a particular interest in how well-planned and well-designed cycling infrastructure can contribute to liveable, sustainable communities and cities. Shane has worked in various countries including Ireland, New Zealand and now the Netherlands. With this international lens, Shane brings a new perspective to the challenges facing his clients in the Netherlands.
