Cape Town Mobility Indaba


October is Transport Month in Cape Town, South Africa. The city will kick off with the Mobility Indaba, which is a five day event that will take place at the Kenilworth Racecourse from 6 – 10 October.

The event aims to rethink the way people move in the City of Cape Town and co-creating a way forward that focuses on mobility as a key driver of inclusive economic growth, sustainable development and societal transformation. The Mobility Indaba is an event of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Cape Town in collaboration with the City of Cape Town, Transport for Cape Town, WESGRO and Accelerate Cape Town.

Mobility Indaba will be a conference as well as an experiential event. It will focus on different modalities of transport and the inter-modality perspective including cycling and other active forms of Non-Motorized Transport (NMT).The Mobility Indaba is a collaborative event which will bring thought leaders, activists, and public and private organisations, to not only talk about sustainable mobility solutions, but act and co-create together.

Several Dutch Cycling Embassy experts will attend this event and lead workshops and presentations.
