The Dutch Cycling Embassy hosted an official Big Start Giro d’Italia side event on Friday the 29th of April 2016. The organisation of the Giro Gelderland wanted to highlight the economic aspects and benefits of the cycling industry and at the same time connect the start of the Giro d’Italia in Gelderland to the upcoming Velo-city 2017 congress. While the start of the Giro d’Italia takes place in less than a week the Dutch Cycling Embassy invited its partners to the Bouillon room in Nijmegen to share their innovative ideas on cycling related topics in a 2 minute elevator pitch.
