Cycle City is the most important conference and exhibition for cycling in Britain. In 2014, the Dutch Cycling Embassy was envited by Cycle City to encourage Dutch levels of utility cycling in Britain and advice authorities to improve cycling facilities. The conference started with a lecture of the Minister of Transport. Than a panel debate took place with Aletta Koster, director of the Dutch Cycling Embassy. At the second day of the conference, Erik Tetteroo, our Dutch Cycling Embassy representative for the UK gave a presentation why an integrated approach on cycling and mobility is needed. The accessiblity of work and facilities can be sustainable by using public transport and the bicycle as a mode. The integrated approach shows the importance of the combination of Public Transport and the Bicycle. How you can strenghten that with good facilities in and around stations. And how can you expand the value of a hub by solving the 'last mile' problems.
