Windesheim is one of the Netherlands’ top-3 universities of applied sciences, known for its personal approach, small classes (15-20 students) and for working closely with the business community and public institutes. Windesheim is a University of Applied Sciences, where higher professional education is taught. This means that besides theoretical knowledge, the student will get hands-on experience through internships, projects with the professional field, group work, workshops and guest lectures. The spatial Planning and Mobility program at Windesheim is a bachelor program that focuses on educating students to work in the field of Traffic Engineering, -management and Spatial Planning. Designing cycling infrastructure, traffic safety and other aspects with regards to encouraging bicycle use are an important part of our program. The four-year program is one of three bachelor programs in the Netherlands that specializes in Mobility. Every year around 40 new students start on our program to, together with organizations in the region, acquire knowledge, do research on and design solutions for a variety of mobility problems.
