Knowledge DCE’s ThinkBike Workshop Tirana 12 May 2022 Cycling News In April, the Dutch Cycling Embassy hosted a ThinkBike Workshop for the City of Tirana, Albania. Together with Roel Lenoir (3PM) and Lennart Nout (Mobycon), we discussed how Tirana can become more cycle friendly. Tirana already has many cyclists and aims to increase this number. With focusing on hardware, software and orgware, the city will improve cycling comfort and happiness. All recommendations we developed with the participants of the workshop will be summarized in a report for future reference. To celebrate the ThinkBike Workshop, the Dutch ambassador invited the team for a working breakfast. After which the Mayor of Tirana organized an Orange Bike Ride with everyone who wanted to join. The bike tour was a huge success with more than 200 participants. It was great to see the cycling infrastructure already present in Tirana and to discuss how to improve it in the coming months and years. We are looking forward to seeing Tirana becoming a great cycling city!
